Wheeler's Yard Singapore

Some friends have been asking me which cafe is the best in Singapore and that's like asking who do I love more - my mum or my dad. To tell you the truth, I can't pinpoint any one cafe because each has its own unique selling point – their ambience, their food, their coffee or their friendly service... it's very distinguished. But if you're looking for a place to relax and enjoy a heart-to-heart conversation with a friend, Wheeler's Yard is just the right fix for anyone. If you're a cyclist, that's even better.

Their love for cycling adds a unique twist to the warehouse-turned-cafe. The 15,000 sqf of the cafe, together with a lofty high-ceiling workshop is a rare sight in Singapore today.

They have both indoor and outdoor seating, except the outdoor isn't really outdoor since it's a sheltered area.

Watch out for beautifully hand-crafted bikes are on display along with carefully curated furniture. I just felt like grabbing one and cycle!

The loft will only be opened when it gets too crowded in the cafe.

 Almost every table would have a refurbished bike on it.

 Carrot Cake - SGD5.00

The slice of carrot cake was better than i expect them to be. It was moist, with pieces of crunchy nuts mixed in the batter. The layered cream on top had a nutty taste, and thinking of that really makes me crave for this again! I wished the portion was bigger though.

Hazelnut latte - SGD6.00

I really loved the Iced gems that came with the coffee! It made me reminisce the days I had in kindergarten. Although the aroma was really strong, the latte tasted really diluted. My friend and I can't tell the difference between the hazelnut latte and the cappuccino we ordered. 

Cappuccino SGD5.50 

I was quite surprised that the Cappuccino had the same amount of froth as the latte. I'd wish they had been more versatile with their latte art... how disappointing it was that it is the same!
