Paradise Dynasty Tribute Basket of Love
I was delighted when Paradise Dynasty extended an invitation to try their two new flavoured Xiao Long Bao — a Tribute Basket of Love. The two new nourishing flavours, Dang Gui (当归) and Shi Quan (十全) Xiao Long Bao were specially crafted in celebration of Mother's and Father's Day.
If there is anything that Paradise Dynasty is famous for, it would be their colourful creations and innovative flavours of Xiao Long Bao. I went to the outlet at Vivo City and was greeted by really friendly staff, and they even offer fruit punch or orange juice while waiting to go in. This restaurant was the biggest one I've ever been to! You can also view the romantic skyline of Sentosa from the Vivo outlet.
Tribute Basket of Love: Dang Gui + Shi Quan (4pcs each)

According to the waiter, I have to start with Dang Gui before moving on to Shi Quan. This is because Shi Quan helps to improve blood circulation and restores the Qi (气), which is the circulating life force in our body. The difference between Dang Gui and Shi Quan is not just in colour but in taste as well.
La Mian in Signature Pork Bone Soup served with Deep-Fried Pork Ribs (蒜香排骨拉面)
SGD12.80
Every whiff of the pork bone soup made my stomach growl in desperation for a bite! The soup was a delightful one — with all the right spices. Paradise Dynasty was very meticulous in their cooking, right up to the egg: the outer yolk of the egg was a little runny with the rest fully cooked!
La Mian with Poached Marbled Beef in Szechuan Style (水煮肥牛肉拉面)
SGD13.80
For chilli lovers, you might want to think twice before embarking on this dish. This is because the Szechuan style spiciness is really at a fiery hot level! Even my mum who could eat wasabi and chilli on its own thought that it was very spicy too. However, the beef was very soft and chewy, and it didn't soak up much more of the spiciness! After awhile, the taste sets in and the meal gets more delicious!Shredded Potatoes with Capsicum (家乡凉拌土豆丝)
SGD4.20
The potatoes tasted raw instead of crunchy, and there was a strong sour taste to the appetiser. I believe this was due to some sour dressing, and the ratio of capsicum to potato was 1:5. Paradise Dynasty was very generous with the portion though! Two people could share this together.
Scrambled Egg White with Fish and Dried Scallop (瑶柱芙蓉赛螃蟹)
SGD12.80
I would highly recommend this dish to everyone. Initially, I asked the waitress if the egg yolk will be very raw as I don't like to eat raw yolks. She said it won't be too raw. However, the yolk came raw and I mixed the yolk with the egg white, fish and dried scallop anyway. Because of the heat from the surrounding dish, the yolk started to get cooked a little more, and I could eat it in the perfect temperature! Each bite had a tangible freshness to it, and I could finish the whole plate on my own!
