We all desire to have beautiful complexion, yet not everyone is born with it. In my teenage years, I suffered from whiteheads, blackheads, acne, mille seeds and all other sorts of skin conditions on my face. All that changed when I turned to SK-II eight months ago. In collaboration with SK-II on ZALORA Singapore, here’s a review of the effectiveness of my two favourites from the SK-II range:
This is one of the more popular beauty products from SK-II. The SK-II Facial Treatment Essence promotes skin renewal and metabolism. After using it intermittently for about eight months, my skin is observed to be glowing. I usually use it as a toner at night, and it absorbs super quickly and easily.
I really love the natural radiant glow that SK-II gives! It takes almost a year to obtain natural, healthy-looking skin and I’m still struggling to be consistent with my skincare regimen, hahaha!
Initially, my skin condition did not appear to improve. But the greatest love is nurtured over time, right? I used the 215ml bottle for eight months and look, there’s still lots of treatment essence left.

The Whitening Spots Specialist is probably more suitable for older women, but is also effective in getting rid of my acne scars. It is slightly thicker than the facial treatment essence, and has a refreshingly sweet smell. Initially, it left a sticky residue upon application, but this disappeared after 30 minutes when absorbed into the skin. I prefer to use this at night.
