How it feels like to have a Korean Oppa cut, perm and style my hair

It's my FIRST ever experience having a haircut by a Korean oppa in an authentic 한국 헤어 살롱 싱가포르 (Korean Hair salon) in Singapore! Last year, I shared about my experience in Korean CCA Hair 7 salon at Far East Plaza. What's unique here: All the hairstylists are Koreans who received training in Korea. Each hairstylist has their own unique style and identity.
Additional Tips: Highly recommended to make an advance booking- there's a possibility that it can get quite busy in the afternoon. Please have a photo reference if you have something specific in mind!

Can I have both hairstyle?

I told Haru, my hairstylist, that my life was pretty hectic and it takes really long for me to dry my hair.  My requirements were quite difficult — I wanted see-through bangs that were below my brows and natural wavy curls. Haru asked for a photo reference, so I showed the fringe of Peishi and the curls of Andrea Chong. But I didn't want to dye my hair because it is really difficult for me to maintain it. Haru understood my requirements perfectly.

I think I watched too much Kdramas - in my mind I was imagining all the dramatic possibilities that could have happened. It did make me awkwardly nervous and most of the time I was just staring into space and dozing off. Pretty comfortable and fun!

5. Continue with a digital perm (C-Curl) for 30 minutes

Actually I love this look - wish it was trending now!

I was asked to move to the area near the windows which overlooked the Holland Village street. I can only imagine the beautiful scene of the bustling street at night! The chair was hard and uncomfortable though - I was quite shifty after 30 minutes. There is an extension cord to charge your devices and also a mini game arcade too, damn cool!

The After Photos

The Experience

The experience has been very comfortable and I can't help but to think that they pay attention to every single detail. For example, the ice cubes in my drink were oddly shaped in a way so that it does not melt that quickly (should have taken a photo)! When I grabbed a magazine to read, DoYeon quickly came over to give me an additional cushion that was meant for reading comfortably on my lap. Jean was also very friendly and sincere - I loved chatting with her!

The Style

The hairstylists each had their own 'style' — some of the guys were fashionably cool and the ladies overwhelmingly gorgeous. I noticed that Haru was very neat and composed which made him a fantastic hairstylist because he will be obsessed with recreating that perfect look! I think I'd have enjoyed it more if Haru talked to me more (I thought he was a little quiet), but I guess it might be because of the language barrier because another korean customer came in and he was talking non-stop, haha!
