7 Reasons Why Tourists are flying to Singapore Changi Airport for Christmas
Mums, dads, kids and hello kitty fans — your annual wait for something dramatic from Changi Airport is over! Do you remember the cute bunch of pikachus dancing in the airport last year? The awesome funny dance is back with a new cast— featuring Sanrio characters such as Hello Kitty and Daniel, My Melody, Little Twin Stars (Lala and Kiki), Pom pom purin and Gutedama! Here are 7 things to look forward to with Sanrio Christmas at Changi Airport this year.

I was surprised to find an old grandma right beside me who was wowed away by the drones — it's quite an amazing technological feat to find flying lights. This is like a whole new level of romance — flying fairy lights!!!
My favourite game is the Tree House Catcher - a human 'controller' directs a human 'crane' suspended in mid-air to pick up slippery gifts from the gift pool. The crane can only hold up to 60kg and the person must be at least 1.1m tall. There is also a pool for water balloons where you can fish for them— except that the hooks are made of paper threads which makes the game really tough! You can play all of these via a minimum spend of $30 on participating shops.
From today to 31 December, Changi Rewards members can redeem an exclusive Sanrio Christmas wrapper with every $60 nett spend in a single receipt. Limited to 3 sets of redemptions per receipt. For everyone else (the public) as well as Changi Reward members, you can also stand a chance to win an exclusive 1-metre Sanrio plush toy with each $60 nett spend!

1. An amazing Mystical Garden, a gazebo, and a treehouse
I'm amazed by this massive structure which not only consists of real plants, but also fairy lights as well. How many fairy lights did it take to light up this structure?! I also wonder if anyone noticed them building this space — since it is right in front of the departure gate. Quote from a friend I've met, "This is where your airport tax goes into, you better enjoy the show"! Hahaha and truly I enjoyed the delicate details of the massive structure!
2. Daily drone shows at 7.30pm and 9pm

3. Light and snow shows at 3pm and 5pm

4. Weekend Sanrio meet-and-greet sessions
One Sanrio character will meet visitors for 30 minutes at 4pm and 6pm! Be there early to catch them for a once-in-a-lifetime photo session.
5. Head to level 3 via the escalator for a bird's eye view
6. Interesting My Melody Cottage (which actually looks like an office)
7. Japanese-style fun and games for all
