Chimichanga! Mexican is a place with lots of character, and attitude.

Peeling walls, sexist vintage ads and loud table cloths — these are not the things you'd expect in a Mexican cafe. Located in the heart of Little India, Chimichanga! gives off rustic vibes that is famous among tourists and expats alike. The cafe owners pay attention to every detail — from the lights to the choice of music and the self-service water station. Aside from good food, the cafe also organises twice-a-month comedy event which will be covered later in the post!

Mexican Habanero sauces and the famous Sriracha sauce

Loaded Nachos (Choice of Ancho Beef / Salt Pork Tinga / Chipotle Chicken) — S$10

We selected the chicken option and was pleasantly delighted by the pico de gallo, creamy queso & salsa verde over a bed of tortilla chips. This dish is perfect for sharing among a big group of people. 

Boraccho Fish Taco — S$10

Before checking out the restaurant, I made my partner promise not to get any tacos because honestly, it's hard to find good tacos in Singapore. Most tacos have a hard crust and they don't taste good. We ended up giving this taco a chance and it was exceptionally tasty. The golden paprika & beer-battered fish was pretty huge and placed over a bed of slaw, topped with a drizzle of Sriracha mayo. There is also a quarter of a lime for us to squeeze on.
