Commonman Coffee Roaster is one such cafe that many cafe owners aspire to model after - their success has been so phenomenal that it is able to attract both locals, tourists and expats alike. Situated at 22 Martin Road, Commonman Coffee Roaster operates  seven days a week and serves an all-day brunch style menu; Common Man Coffee Roasters Café has fast become a favourite spot for locals and travellers alike. Their extensive coffee offerings is like a symphony orchestra with wide ranges of notes. Take a strong one from their signature CMCR Espresso Blend, prepared on our custom Synnesso espresso machine, or a manual brew from their range of single origins and micro-lots, such as YirgZero from Ethiopia. The baristas are highly skilled and service crew hospitable and friendly, sustaining its high 4.2 rating out of 5.0 on Facebook.

We braved the rain and queued for half an hour but was glad to sit in this cosy, tight-space cafe. One of the must tries include the Common Man Full Breakfast, which features two free-range organic eggs in any style, back bacon, pork sausage, fresh pesto tomatoes, vegetable rosti, minted sour cream, portobello mushroom, house-made chorizo baked beans with artisanal sourdough or wholemeal toast. The Common Man Fluffy Pancakes comes with cameralised bananas & walnuts, salted caramel sauce, nutty crumble & berry coulis. This dish works great for sharing or if you have a sweet tooth. We also had the seared salmon salad with fish crackling, pea shoots, baby radish, japanese cucumber, pickled daikon and alfafa sprouts in a wasabi vinagratte. The medley of ingredients worked wonderfully, with the texture in favour of each other for one's palate. We also tried a seasonal orange sponge cake with chia seed, which was unfortunately not their area of expertise.
