Clementi Tze Char review - daily delivery of fresh ingredients!

Clementi Tze Char is a new stall located in a coffeeshop near Clementi's fire station. Despite being in operations for less than a month, the stall already has a steady stream of loyal customers from the neighbourhood. This tze char concept is just one of many F&B businesses founded by Micron 2000 Holdings, a technology company. The head chef helms from Kuala Lumpur and they also have many branches in Singapore. All fresh ingredients are delivered to the store daily!

Authentic Traditional KL Hokkein Mee - S$4.50

This is Ailing's (@purpleeats) favourite dish - if you follow her on instagram, you will know that she is on a hunt for great hokkein mee and this is one dish that she gave her thumbs up . The sauce is chef's own recipe as he decided to breakaway from the sambal chili paste. I love how fragrant the dish is, the gravy was very flavourful and the noodles were not clumpy. According to Royston (our host), this dish is one of their bestsellers for lunch.

Jiang Nan Crispy Noodle - S$6.00

Clementi tze char Jiang Nan Crispy Noodle - S$6.00
This is my personal favourite - most crispy noodles don't hold it well and becomes soggy really fast. I have also tried similar dishes from other tze char places that are usually too oily. If you enjoy a variety of ingredients in your plate, this dish makes an excellent choice.

Curry Fish Head - S$20

Our eyes widened in surprise when the curry fish head was served. The serving size was huge for its price! We got to enjoy the generous portions of red snapper in fragrant curry gravy for only $20. This bright red curry uses a nyonya recipe, but it deviates from the norm of using a claypot. There is an option of using the claypot at a fee.

Royston shared that this dish was one of the favorites voted by other food bloggers and instagrammers. It is served with cucumber, red capsicum, tomatoes, sesame seeds, lettuce, raw mango with marmite dressing.

This nutritious dish is not officially on the menu yet. To order, you can let the chef know that you want to try this free-range chicken. They only have one or two chickens available per day!
