Rabbit Carrot Gun: 2014 Pasar Bella Review
Located far from Singapore's downtown, Rabbit Carrot Gun is a rustic country store that sells savoury pies and interesting food. Their ingredients consist of high-quality delights, such as steak, moroccan lamb and blue cheese. With low-hanging lights from the ceiling, the store mimics the backyard of a countryside where you feel at ease with the carefully designed backdrop.
Pies are displayed on a clear glass cabinet, which looks exactly like duplicates of one another. Some of their items are hastily handwritten while the rest uses classic san serif typefaces. The storekeeper was friendly as she explained the ingredients contained in each pie.
Steak ale with Blue Cheese
SGD10.50
With a heart-shaped imprint at the top, the Steak ale with Blue Cheese is definitely a choice selection for anyone who enjoys savoury items. Apparently, there was no visible blue cheese in the product. We gave feedback to the shopkeeper, and she said that it was because past customers have complaint that there were too much blue cheese, hence the chef decided to use lesser blue cheese. Erm.. why would people want to buy steak ale with blue cheese if there was no blue cheese?
The beef was flaky and extremely chewy, except that there was no juice, thus the pie felt really dry.
Scotch Egg
SGD9.90
One of the more rare food items, the scotch egg is one that is rolled in breadcrumbs, enclosed in sausage meat and deep-fried. Rabbit Carrot Gun's scotch egg was really dry and a chore to eat. We were wondering if it was because the food was out in the open for really long (they closed the shop soon after we bought) or because we asked to heat it up. The fact that they used microwave to heat up the items was kind of disappointing for me.
See how the yolk is crumbly and dry? It was difficult to eat and for such a small piece, I don't think it's worth SGD9.90.
Also, the food is served with non-biodegradable plastic cutleries and paper plates to throw even when we said we were eating-in. I am quite concerned about their non eco-friendly practices, and I believe foodies should have the right to push for sustainable eating as well.
While Rabbit Carrot Gun has an interesting list of menu, the quality of their food preparation may have caused what we tried to taste awful. Try if you dare.

The major benefits of Revolvers is that they are easier to learn to manipulate, because there is generally fewer functions than a typical semi-auto.
