Nam Nam Noodle Bar Review
Nam Nam noodle bar excludes Monosodium Glutamate (MSG) in all their food, so would the Vietnamnese cuisine still taste as good? Seeing how long queues are usually spotted in this casual restaurant, I decided to try it despite not having good experiences with Vietnam Pho.
I was surprised by the number of bottles of seasoning placed on each table. Nam Nam Noodle Bar provides the customers the luxury of choice in how much seasoning they would like to add to their food. Being empowered with choice shows that Nam Nam noodle bars not only respect their customers, but also to prove their claim that they really do not add any MSG in their food.
Pho Beef Balls — SGD8.90
Using a quarter of a lime, the soup tastes naturally sour. The beef balls were a little hard to chew, which shows that it is actually made from real beef meat. I wished that there were more vegetables instead of simply having spring onions.
Fried Prawns & Pork Rolls — SGD4.90
Black Coffee (Hot) — SGD2.60
The coffee simply reminds me of one word - authenTHICK. Yes, I mean authentic + thick. The rich aroma of the famous Vietnamese coffee is really strong and bitter, without any taste of sourness. It's a great caffeine fix that doesn't make your heart beat pump too fast, yet giving you the caffeine you need for the day! Nam Nam Noodle Bar's black coffee is definitely a must-have in the morning.
