109 Teochew Yong Tau Foo

If you're working around Clarke Quay or City Hall, there is a reputable Yong Tau Foo place that you must visit.  109 Yong Tau Foo was first established 35 years ago, focusing on manufacturing and selling Fishball and Yong Tau Foo before they finally opened their own shop. Because of the large office crowd, the shop has two storeys and ample seats available. You don't have to worry about not getting a seat even though the queue is so long that sometimes, the tail of the queue is from the next block.
This is one of the widest varieties of Yong Tau Foo selections I have ever seen. You can practically choose any type of noodles, including Laksa. There are two large open refrigerators for you to select your ingredients from, and they boast of using the best quality ingredients such as fresh yellow tail fish.
Each bowl of Yong Tau Foo costs about S$6.00 (min 6 ingredients), which is probably one of the most affordable food options in that area. You can add your ingredients from S$0.60-$1.20.

Tips to take note of:
1. Go for the dry noodles instead of the soup, because their homemade sauce is really delicious!
2. There's a hidden staircase to level 2 for non-smokers.
3. They only sell canned drinks.
4. I went a few times to this outlet, but the quality of the food does not seem to be consistent. Their service is really fast.

    1. Hi Joel, the shop name is "109 Teochew Yong Tau Foo". Let's not forget that other dialects have their own style, such as the cantonese congee versus the teochew porridge too :)
