Ippudo Singapore review

1. Ippudo Original Buns (Pork) — S$4 (1 pc), S$9 (3 pcs)

Ippudo Original Buns Singapore

Ippudo's pork bun is a famous international best-seller. We are certain about this claim because there were a few Japanese diners from other tables who were tucking into this! If there ever were to be a chashu ice-cream, it would probably never melt as lusciously in your mouth as these buns. The crisp iceberg lettuce offers a crunchy bite against the soft, fluffy bun.

2. Crispy Corn — S$6

Crispy Corn Singapore
Ippudo has successfully transformed corn-on-the-cob into a gourmet starter. Corn is usually served as a side dish with your main, but Ippudo's lightly-battered deep-fried corn-on-the-cob is a wonderful starter on its own. It comes dusted with smoked paprika powder that adds a welcome savoury, spicy edge to the otherwise bland corn. The burst of flavours was like having fireworks popping in my mouth!

3. Kani Cream Croquette — S$6

The Kani Cream Croquette is available only at the Shaw Centre outlet and nowhere else! Biting into the crisp and golden crust was a wonderful experience that contrasted beautifully with the luscious creamy crab-based filling oozing into my mouth. The croquette is drizzled with a delectable tomato cream sauce.

4. Shiromaru Motoaji — S$15 (Regular), S$12 (Small)

Shiromaru Chashu

I really enjoyed Ippudo's thin and straight noodles. Pork loin, cabbage, black fungus and spring onions come soaked in an original creamy tonkotsu broth. You have the option of adding a tamago (flavoured egg) for S$3.

Tamago (Flavoured Egg)
Unfortunately, I think their ramen eggs should fare better than what we had. The outer layer was a bit dry, and it was too salty for my liking. I would also prefer having the ramen eggs served together with the soup — but then I'm sure there are those who would prefer otherwise.

5. Akamaru Shin-Aji — S$16 (Regular), S$12 (Small)

Served with thin noodles, pork belly, black fungus and spring onions.
This is a wonderful twist to the traditional tonkotsu ramen! Ippudo's original tonkotsu broth is enhanced with specially-blended miso paste and fragrant garlic oil, adding depth and richness. Definitely a refined modern-style ramen, as proudly claimed. Nori (seaweed) can be added for S$2.

6. Teriyaki Chicken — S$13

Ippudo Teriyaki Chicken

Ippudo caters to diners across a wide range of preferences, requirements and objectives. Those looking to cut down on their carbohydrate intake would love these fresh and juicy chicken chunks. The tender chicken thigh is pan-fried and glazed with a sweet teriyaki sauce. The french beans and bean sprouts are nothing too fanciful, but the kernels of maize are nothing short of a-maize-ing (pun intended)!

  1. A new talented brand new cocinero, a superb brand new menus, a professional staff members, plus a brand new appreciation pertaining to offering simply the best have revived the eating place at up to 29 Fair Street, setting the item securely the most effective about Nantucket. For decades, it was the place from the Woodbox, favorite by means of Restaurants as well as site visitors. Soon after manager Dexter Teutein died, there was numerous tries at recapturing the good results of this longtime favorite, although every single try ended up being missing out on an important item.
