It's been a LONG time since I've blogged... school has kept me really busy! Anyway, thanks to
Poppy Flora Studio, my mum, Jacelyn and I had an absolutely wonderful time at Robinsons last Saturday! Actually, I didn't know that I could have so much fun in a hands-on floral bouquet and make-up workshop. In my opinion, I really feel that nothing beats experiencing learning new things over the weekend... it's so much better than shopping around or watching a movie..
These pretty flowers seem to have a magical power for lifting your mood *grins*. We waited for almost an hour before the event started, but I think it was well worth it.
We started off with a set of basics: a pair of floral scissors, a transparent wrapper (like a sling bag) for the bouquet and strings. I can't tell you how delightful the process is of trimming those delicate flowers and arranging them together beautifully! :) Sarah, the founder and creative director, actually taught us about the importance of texture when it comes to arranging different flowers together.

After making our pretty flowers, we had an experienced makeup artist teaching us on the basics of make-up — including common makeup techniques that ladies do wrongly! It's also my first exposure to independent, British make-up brand Illamasqua. The brand hails from UK and it brings truly professional make-up to the High street for the first time.

It was a really insightful make-up workshop — from the technique of picking up your powder from the case to the way you deposit them to your face! Thanks Illamasqua and Poppy Flora Studio for a wonderful Saturday afternoon! :)
