I like having pretty nails when I travel — it somehow enhances the traveling experience and helps me take picture-perfect moments. It's one of my weird habits but I always carefully plan a colour for the countries and specific places I travel to based on the colour of the food that I plan to eat. They wanted me to keep my shoes in a rack before slipping on into some Japanese-style wooden clogs. We then proceeded to an open area which had a foot basin and large armchairs. It was quite awkward for me because all the customers were seated close to one another, and the service staff was chatting loudly among themselves. I didn't have a choice but to listen to every word that they say. I guess it'll be okay if you don't mind that there is not much of a privacy, which is pretty common among nail salons.

There were more than 50 colours to choose from — you can also top-up money to do intricate designs but I preferred to have plain gelish nails this time. Unfortunately, you can't mix colours or have different colours on each nail!

I loved how there was no hard selling after the service — they'd share with you the various packages that they have and if you're not interested, they remain friendly and welcoming. I revisited the place to remove my gelish nail but instead of dipping the nails into a solution, they actually filed it away! It was pretty horrifying because I felt that my nails became weaker from the forceful removal.
